The International B14 Class Association will be holding their largest World Championships since the event's inauguration at Weymouth in 1998, under the banner of the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, Australia.

52 confirmed entries and with possibly more to follow, has beaten the previous record of 50 from 1998. With home advantage and being the largest contingent, the Tassie fleet will be gunning for top slot led by Richard Fish/Stuart McDonnell in Buggar the Bone.

There will be all to play for, with expected weather on Sandy Bay, ranging from 5 - 35 knots. Predictions are that it will go to the wire with one of 11 teams in with a very good chance of winning.

The big question within the class, is, will the northern or southern hemisphere have ownership of the Ashes come 10.01.2009

The ratings guide to follow once we have the confirmed entry list after Christmas.
