Australian Three Peaks Race Victorian catamaran Peccadillo have lost the chance of breaking the race record due to strong headwinds off the east coast, followed by light and variable night breezes in Storm Bay and the River Derwent. Peccadillo, skippered by Charles Meredith, had not finished the final sailing leg from Coles Bay to Hobart by 9.30pm tonight, leaving insufficient time for endurance runners Richard Bowles and Chris Wright to dash to the peak of Mount Wellington and back to break the record. They had to complete the 33km run before 24 minutes past midnight to break the overall race
