Registration, measurment and training was the order of the day for the Australian contingent taking part in the Laser Radial Worlds in Japan.
Elliott Noye from Tasmania sent this text today telling us whats going on at the regatta so far.
Very hot conditions today in Japan about 30 degrees. Us Tasmanians are getting used to the heat. Given we are used to sailing in the mornings and its one degree this is a little different. We have all got great charter boats with no probelms going through measurment. George Jones had a small problem with the size of his blocks but this was soon fixed with a visit to the shop.
Out training with the rest of the Australians doing some speed work first. Then it was time to mix it up with 70 other boats for some short races with the Aussies using the time to get comfortable with the bigger fleet sailing. With racing starting soon we are looking forward getting on with the racing.
