While Queensland and Victoria reel from big storms, heavy rain and heavy weather, it's been perfect weather in Sydney for the record 300+ fleet sailing in the 2010 Audi Sydney Harbour regatta.

There had been heavy rain north of Sydney on Friday night and some light rain in Sydneybut the overcast skies cleared and by early afternoon it was bright and sunny with 17-19 knots of breeze for the first day of racing.

Today classical summer north easters with 18/23 knots in the harbour and 20/25 knots for the offshore IRC fleets.
