It was a day to test the resolve and endurance of all the crews that were sent off on a long islands course in a heavy duty south easterly, gusting to 30 knots at times.

Crosbie Lorimer chased the IRC and Performance fleets down the Whitsunday Passage as they blasted their way north to Double Cone Island. Here are some of his pictures from that wild ride.
