'Lock Crowther 2007 015 - APC Logistics Lock Crowther Memorial Regatta' Jenny Drew
Lock Crowther was an Australian design pioneer of ocean going racing and cruising multihulls. Lock was responsible for thousands of successful Catamarans and Trimarans that are still successfully sailing in all parts of the world.

Lock was a local on Pittwater and member of the RMYC - Broken Bay. Lock's designs were at the forefront of international multihull design development. Some of the famous multihulls Lock designed throughout the late 60s to early 90s include Pumpkin Eater, Shotover, Top Gun, Verbatam/Australia's Child, John West./Windswept, Bagatelle, XL2 and Captain Bligh these are only a few of the many others as well as the famous RMYC multihull division mascot - D-Flawless.

Lock's designs are still highly regarded cruisers and racers. His multihull designs will been seen in most ports around the world.

For the 12 successive year, we pay tribute this weekend to Lock's work with the development of offshore multihulls with an annual 3 day regatta on Sydney's Pittwater that has attracted boats from all over Australia.
