5:01 AM Wed 29 Apr 2009 GMT Despite the world's economic downturn Simpson Marine, the largest yacht broker and dealer in Asia, is confident for a strong Hong Kong Gold Coast Boat Show with a number of sizeable yachts on display, including models from Azimut, Beneteau, Lagoon, and Sea Ray.
On display will be an Azimut 58, one of the latest models from the design-house of the world's largest megayacht builder. Simpson Marine, the exclusive dealer for Azimut in Hong Kong says the striking Azimut 58 is expected to attract a large amount of interest.
According to Robin Wyatt, Azimut Brand Manager at Simpson Marine, the Azimut 58, in the flybridge range, 'sleek lines enclose spectacularly large and airy spaces, elegant, modern decor impeccable down to the tiniest detail, lighting streaming through ample windows and a vast sea terrace. The Azimut 58 features a new interior of cream for a fresher and more luminous feel.'
In addition to the Azimut 58, the Gold Coast will also play host next weekend (8-10 May) to another impressive yacht - a sizeable Lagoon 500. Lagoon is the world's largest manufacturer of multihulls and has been in production since 1984. Architects Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prevost fitted the Lagoon 500 with the latest developments in naval architecture. James Rayner, Simpson Marine Lagoon Brand Manager, says that the yacht's speed and seaworthiness are outstanding. With three interior layouts (3, 4 or 5 double cabins), the Lagoon 500 is also offered with three equipment configuration levels (Essential, Cruising, Comfort).
Sea Ray will display the 240DA. Mark Woodmansey, Simpson Marine Sea Ray Brand Manager, advises that for over 45 years Sea Ray has used forward thinking to design some of the best built, most technologically advanced boats in the industry, which has resulted their highest accolades ever - the NMMA Award for highest satisfaction in sports boats.
The Beneteau display will feature a Beneteau Oceanis 43. James Rayner says that the Beneteau Oceanis series is built especially for cruising whilst remaining elegant and performance related. James confirms that the Beneteau Oceanis series has become hugely popular internationally since its launch.
