#26 Team SW1 Capital retained its status as the in-form team in the Powerboat P1 World Championship by claiming their third successive race win in the Sprint race in the Sicilian Grand Prix of the Sea in Syracuse.
After a relatively disappointing PowerPole session which saw the crew of Daniel Cramphorn, Kim Collins and Simon Luhr qualify fifth, the all-British crew dominated the race from start-to-finish to take the full complement of 100 points.
Luhr moved seamlessly from his role as principal sponsor to navigator as the team moved within touching distance of an overall top three finish in the SuperSport standings.

'After Italy, our aim was to win the next four races to end the season on a high,' said a delighted throttleman Kim Collins. 'This is our fifth win of the season. Today's race? We could not have asked for better. We led from the start all the way to the finish.
'We had a trim set-up problem in PowerPole so were running legs way below neutral so had a lot of drag so lost a lot of speed and with it a lot of time. We knew there was a problem and couldn't put our finger on it at the time.
He added: 'But today the boat ran perfectly and everything went as planned.'
#38 Baia Attolini moved to within 11 points of Championship leaders #43 Seagull Chaudron after finishing second, 23 seconds behind the eventual winners.
Baia driver Stefano Acanfora is still hopeful they can take the title in the last race of the 2009 season. 'We need to win tomorrow and hope another boat, other than Seagull, can take the second place. It can happen.'
Angelo Tedeschi, Aaron Ciantar and Viktor Shemchuk in the Seagull hull took the third and final podium spot after overtaking PowerPole sitters and fellow Chaudron stable-mate #44 Iko Casa mid-way through the 9-lap race.
#28 Blue Shaft finished the race in fifth place following retirements to #17 Spirit of Belgium and #22 Big Sergio - both of whom retired after three and two laps respectively with technical problems.
