Mustang owners rallied in support of the embattled company on the Queensland Gold Coast last week, when 25 of the vessels berthed at Sanctuary Cove and partied on into the evening at the Quayside Cocktail Bar.

Mustang CEO Chris Heaton and Queensland dealer principal Carl Kellett joined more than 85-strong throng which comprised owners, families, friends and staff from the boat manufacturer. Heaton said he was 'honoured' by the support from so many owners.

The company is presently seeking a new investor and is restructuring the business to ensure it is equipped to better service current market conditions. 'To see this support to the management group from the customer base is very heartening and provides for us a positive picture that will help secure a positive future for the company,' Chris added.

Mustang owners Charles Phillis and Dave Hatton were the prime movers behind the 'Mustang Muster'. They said the plan was to 'ignite the passion' that boating brings to so many families. 'The weekend proved to be a time of great fun, great stories and great friendship,' Phillis declared.

According to reports, the Quayside Cocktail Bar was 'jumping' through the Saturday evening as the group celebrated with live music, exotic foods and ample liquid refreshment. Perhaps it was just as well that all boats (and crews) had arranged overnight berthing at the Sanctuary Cove Marina.

The company has promised it will be 'back in action' for the forthcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show next month.
