It's here! Mustang unveils its latest 430 Sports Coupe.

Mustang Marine did itself proud on Friday evening last when it unveiled its eagerly-awaited 430 Sports Coupe' to a 150-strong gathering at its Gold Coast headquarters.

Mustang CEO Chris Heaton said the company's entire staff, from management down through the design team, engineers and production staff had 'lived and breathed' the project.

'I cannot pay a high enough tribute to all involved,' he said.

'This is the spearhead of the new direction for Mustang Marine and I'm equally delighted to report that the first boat sold has been purchased by a local family and the vessel will reside right here on the Gold Coast.'

Mustang Marine spared no expense when it came to revealing the new boat.

A giant marquee enabled guests to ignore two heavy rain storms during the evening, with entertainment and first class food and drink on hand for all.

Many of the guests were Mustang owners, together with staff, prospective buyers, representatives of suppliers to the company and media.

The Mustang 430 Sports Coupe' boasts an overall length of 14.98-metres (49'1') with a spacious 4.61-metre (15'1') beam.

She carries 1900-litres (506US gallons) of fuel to 'feed' her dual 430hp Volvo Penta D6 IPS (Inboard Propulsion System) engines.

The vessel has a sleeping capacity ranging from four to eight depending on the available two or three cabin layout.

Weighing in at 15 tonnes (dry weight) or 33,600lbs, the Mustang Sports Coupe' according to Mustang management, will meet the demand of today's boating families who prefer single level living and entertainment.

'We had ample feedback from a variety of Mustang owners and we acted on this where ever we felt it suited our design,' Heaton added.

General fit out of the Sports Coupe' certainly appears faultless.

Acoustic and thermal insulation, air conditioning, fresh water system with 670-litre tank, electric trim tabs, electronic engine control unit with single lever gear and throttle and joy stick docking system are among its standard features.

In the three cabin layout, the master stateroom is forward with a guest stateroom to port and a small single berth cabin to starboard.

Both primary staterooms offer hanging lockers, windows, reading lights and private entrance doors.

American cherry wood finished to a dazzling high gloss is used throughout the boat and certainly attracted admiration from the guests as they queued to board the vessel and inspect the coupe'.

Leathers for the superbly finished upholstery was all sourced from Australian suppliers.

'We believe we have created a boat that will meet and surpass the expectations of today's serious boat buyer,' Heaton explained.

'Only the highest quality materials have been employed, we have used the most modern production techniques available to us and utilised strict quality control throughout its build, as we do with every Mustang boat we produce.

'The 430 Sports Coupe' has been a long time coming, but it's here and all of us at Mustang Marine are delighted and look forward to introducing the boat to all of Australia.'
