Rosehill Gardens is set to again host the 2010 Trailer Boat Show, formerly the Great Silverwater Boat Show and one of the most successful regional exhibitions in Australia, scheduled for the first weekend in March (5th and 6th).
Since moving into the Rosehill venue, the show has gone from strength to strength, asserting itself as the ideal opportunity for exhibitors to make ready for the winter slowdown and for visitors to hunt for genuine bargains.
Trailer boats, fishing tackle, nautical sportswear, engines, electronics, it's all destined to be on show at Rosehill.
To the credit of show organisers, the Boating Industry Association of NSW, it has set out to fully support the industry in what it terms 'difficult economic times.'
Consequently, it has lowered exhibitor rates by 10 percent against 2008 rates and will again maintain a 'free gate' with visitors having free entry throughout the weekend.
This was done in 2009 for the first time and led to a massive attendance increase, with 10,200 through the gates almost doubling the 2008 figure of 5800.
Parking is also free.
Furthermore, Domenic Genua, the association's marketing and event manager, has stressed that the show's marketing budget will not be cut.
'We will promote the show with the same level of marketing funds employed in previous years,' he declared.
The show will trade from 9am to 5pm on both days and has been strategically timed, the association says, to allow members to clear excess stock as well as quality used vessels.
One of the show's big advantages is in its geographic location, being surrounded by 'ring roads' making access easy for residents from all parts of Sydney.

Recent research undertaken by the association even reveals that the show attracted more than 12 percent of its visitors from country areas, including the Central Coast to the north, the Illawarra region and the Blue Mountains area.
'Not surprisingly, about 88 percent of our visitors are from the Sydney metropolitan area,' Domenic added, 'primarily from the south-western and north-western suburbs.'
The Rosehill show is very informal, and although the majority of exhibits are within the Rosehill Gardens Exhibition Centre, it's not unusual to see families enjoying lunch on the lawns, with numerous food outlets offering all manner of dining.
'It really is a great way to spend a lazy day,' Domenic said.
'The product on display will include a comprehensive range of trailer boats, including those designed specifically for one aspect, be it fishing, water skiing or for just plain messing about in boats.
'Need to renew your boat registration or licence, no problem, NSW Maritime will be there and on hand to answer any boating query.
'There's the opportunity to check out the latest gear for boats and general boating equipment, a 'gold-plated' chance to grab some bargain fishing tackle and to pick up some angling tips from Brett Thompson and his performing fish in the spectacular Supertank,' he added.
