Historic port greets US Super Boats International

Morehead City, on North Carolina's 'Crystal Coast', has considerable fame as a sport fishing venue, but last weekend the boats on show were just a little quicker than the average sport fish rig. It was the fifth annual Crystal Coast Super Boat Grand Prix, won in fine form by the unusually-named 'Team Boat Show Direct', which reportedly 'stole the show' with a commanding victory. The team won Superboat Vee Extreme class, clocking speeds up to 145mph (233km/hr) at stages and covering the 75.9 mile (122 km) course at an average speed of 93.48mph ...
