Evolution Class champions Giancarlo Cangiano and Giovanni Carpitella have scored a massive coup ahead of the 2010 season with the addition of Luca Formilli Fendi to their OSG crew.

The former Cigarette Smash Poker driver replaces Hannes Bohinc as the team's driver as Team OSG looks to defend its crown, starting in Croatia on April 16-18.

Following months of gossip regarding the line-up of the Italian outfit, Team OSG has also announced it will be racing under the colours of the Circolo Canottieri Aniene. Giancarlo Cangiano declared: 'Our team is composed by a real 'ace poker' : myself, Luca Formilli Fendi, Giovanni Carpitella and Mike Fiore.

'We will all have specific roles and I think I can say OSG Team will be the equivalent of Real Madrid in football. We came up with the idea of racing together two years ago. Luca is an extremely good pilot and a most importantly a real gentleman. We immediately realised we were a good match and our testing back in September was extremely useful. We had no choice but racing together, as no one knows you better than your ennemy!'

Luca Formilli Fendi, who lives in Rome, will start his third year in Powerboat P1 and he feels this season could be his best chance for glory. He said: 'I am extremely pleased to be joiniong World Champion Giancarlo Cangiano in the cockpit this year. I had the chance to test his Outerlimits hull, which is faster and steadier than my former boat.

'We will have some important testing at the end of February and considering all the elements inside this team, I am convinced we are definitely going to be the to beat.'

The boat will be taken care of in two important shipyards: one in Lecco and the other one will be 'Cantieri Nautica Badino', considered an 'offshore Mecca' and managed by Emilio Sardellitti.

The official presentation of the new team will take place in Rome at the Olympic Games swimming pool 'la Piscina Olimpionica dell'Acqua Aniene' on the 29th of March.
