Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, all depending on what part of the world you're in as you receive this week's Powerboat-World.

My world has not yet come back together - I plead guilty to a quantity of the dreaded jet lag following my return from Florida and the Miami International Boat Show.

Believe me, todays and next week's Powerboat-World will be worth visiting as I attempt to bring to readers all the glitz and glamour that is traditionally the Miami exhibition.

New products, new boats and some interviews with several industry leaders will be among the items coming your way (as soon as I get my act together!).

Meanwhile, we present plenty of racing news from Class 1 and from the Australian Offshore Superboat Championships which has just released its calendar for the 2010 season.

For boaters on the picturesque far northern New South Wales coast, good news in the form of new waterfront facilities at Nambucca Heads and Macksville.

And way down south, in Victoria's delightful Gippsland region, anglers will no doubt appreciate and make full use of some new fishing platforms installed along the banks of the Tarwin River.

New electronics from Simrad and Lowrance, the New Zealand Offshore championships resumed this weekend, while I'll be sneaking in to catch up with the latest in personal watercraft at a major exhibition here on the Queensland Gold Coast.

Never rains, but it pours; we just keep on doing our best to bring you all the news worth knowing in the wonderful world of powerboats.

Enjoy the read and make sure you catch the full Miami update in just a few days from now.
