Seasoned and well-liked marine industry identity, Danny Casey has returned to the marine industry and is back working with Yamaha.

After a short stint in the earthmoving industry, Danny Casey has returned to the marine industry, having been appointed to a key role as a representative of Yamaha's South Pacific Group.

Previously Danny Casey occupied the position of National sales and Marketing Manager for Yamaha Motor Australia, a senior management role that he held for five years.

Based in Brisbane, Danny Casey is providing authorised Yamaha distributors throughout the South Pacific region with essential technical and after sales support.

"This is a groundbreaking change in direction for Yamaha," Danny Casey said of his appointment.

"The appointment of an Australian-based representative working out of Brisbane is a significant shift in direction and underscores the strong business relationship that Australia enjoys with the Pacific region."

In his new role Danny Casey reports to Toru (Tony) Kato in Japan.

"While I was at Yamaha Motor Australia, Danny and I worked exceedingly well together to establish an exceptionally strong relationship with our dealers and distributors," Mr Kato said.

"When this position became available, I was delighted to offer Danny an exciting new challenge."

For Danny Casey the new role is something of a welcome homecoming. After a lifetime working in the marine industry in various locations around the world, Danny has returned to an industry with which he has always had a genuine affinity and for which he holds an immense passion.

"After so many years in the marine business I thought it was time for a sea-change of sorts.'

"Moving to the earthmoving industry was interesting enough, but it also made me realise that my heart and strength lies in marine."

"To be able to come back into the marine industry was a welcome move, but to be able to come back to, and again be a part of, the Yamaha family has really been tremendous."
