Craig Lowndes has unleashed his passion for motorsports in the marine realm. The V8 SuperCar Champion is now enjoying a new Yamaha powered Allison fibreglass boat supplied by Queensland retail icons Kratzmann Caravans and Marine.

Regarded as one of the most popular sporting identities in Australian sport, Craig Lowndes can now balance his national V8 SuperCar racing and media commitments with some much needed downtime with wife Nat and their two young children out among the local waterways.

The new addition to the Lowndes garage is an Allison Edge fibreglass boat powered by a 200hp Yamaha F200 4-stroke outboard. Chosen for its versatility and reliability, the Yamaha and Allison boating combination was specifically customised by Craig, Nat and Clint Kratzmann and will suit a range of needs for the young Lowndes family.

"Craig enjoys anything fast on the water and his wife Nat loves fishing," said Manager of Kratzmann's Marine, Clint Kratzmann.

"The Alison Edge cuddy cabin is a very versatile boat and will provide the ideal water sports platform for their favourite inland skiing spot and a great fishing and diving boat for when they head out around Moreton Island. The F200 V6 Yamaha 4-stroke is an outstanding engine for this boat and Craig says it is super quiet and very fast."

Craig Lowndes is the leading V8 SuperCar driver for Team Vodafone and a highly sought after media personality at corporate sponsor and charity events. Craig recently affirmed his legendary Supercar status by winning the 2008 Bathurst 100 for the third consecutive year.

When the Lowndes family first enquired about a new boat, Clint had no reservations in recommending the Yamaha and Allison package. The 6.55m boat has a suite of inclusions including a Dunbier trailer, Humminbird electronics, Hydrive hydraulic steering along and full digital Yamaha instrumentation and controls with the new F200 powerhouse.
