Hong Kong's premier in-water boat show - the Hong Kong Gold Coast Boat Show - will take place from 7 to 9 May, 2010 at Sino Group's Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club. Running for its 13th consecutive year, the 2010 show has attracted more than 40 exhibitors, the highest number ever, from Italy, UK, USA, Australia, Poland, Taiwan, and locally. The event features some of the world's most prestigious boat brands including Azimut, Horizon, Sunseeker, Princess, Beneteau, Lagoon, SeaRay, Ferretti, Fairline, Jade Yacht, Pershing, Meridian, Gulf Craft, Atlantis, Chantier Jeanneau Sa, Centurion, Crownline, Riviera, Sea Doo, Aquitalia and more.

The Show 2010 will kick off on May 8, 2010 with an Opening Ceremony, and the Officiating Guests will include Sir David Akers Jones, Mr. Timothy Fok, President of Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China; Mr. Roger Tupper, Director of Marine; Mr. Thomas Tang, Executive Director of Sino Group and Mr. Albert Wu, General Manager of Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club.

'Although the global economy stills faces some uncertainties and challenges this year, the number of exhibitors at the Gold Coast Boat Show 2010 will be the highest ever, which reflects that the yacht market is still very active and international exhibitors act more vigorously to explore business opportunities. Also the devaluation of Australian, UK and European currencies is likely lead to lower procurement costs, so many yacht dealers are optimistic about the prospects of their markets. A number of participating exhibitors this year are Chinese and Taiwanese brands making their first appearance in the Gold Coast Boat show. They are keen to develop their markets in Hong Kong and even Southeast Asia,' said Mr. Albert Wu.

Other attractions such as a fashion show on the Saturday, children's games, a food fair and a beer garden will keep the boating fraternity in good spirits and provide an entertaining day out for the whole family.
