Big Cats Sighted South At Inverloch Marine

Sole Yamaha dealer Inverloch Marine has been appointed the exclusive Victorian agent for the Noosa Cat brand of fibreglass power catamarans. Bringing onboard this award winning cruiser cat brand adds to the credentials of Inverloch Marine, who already enjoys a strong reputation as leading retailers for the Webster Twinfisher brand of fishing power cats.

The Noosa Cat name has been a high achiever in the Australian marine industry since the early 1990's, yet the multiple award winning design formula has a heritage stretching back even further to 1972. When the famous Shark Cat company folded after two decades of success, present Noosa Cat owner and MD Wayne Hennig bought the pieces of the languishing company and built a new empire based on proven designs and new construction technologies.

A proud range of capable offshore cruisers is now on offer spanning from the compact 1800 Series fishing cats to the stunning 5000 Series live-aboard cruiser cats. With a proven Australian marine heritage, 10 models in the line-up with over 40 different configurations, it's easy to see why Noosa Cats have found favour in both the commercial and leisure sector and why Inverloch has Marine have plenty to be pleased about.

"We're wrapt with Noosa Cat choosing our retail team to exclusively support their brand in Victoria," said Tim Edney, Managing Director of Inverloch Marine.

"They are arguably the best fibreglass power cat on the market and have the build heritage and accolades to back it up. We believe the brand will suit our local fishing and boating market that enjoys access to some of the best fishing and boating grounds in the state both inshore and offshore."

Brand loyalty rates highly amongst the team at Inverloch Marine who have proudly flown the sole Yamaha dealer flag within the strong boating and fishing community in south east Victoria. Adding yet another quality brand to their dealer line-up can only inspire this popular retailer to new heights.

"We get some pretty wild seas around our local waterways which is the perfect place to road test a Noosa Cat," said Tim

"It is no coincidence that rescue, patrol and commercial organisations use Noosa Cats for their work platforms. They offer a huge amount of cockpit space, an incredibly stable hull and solid construction to withstand the pounding of large seas and heavy loads."

The Inverloch Marine team has already had great success in powering one of their Noosa Cat models with twin 150hp Yamaha F150 outboards. Boasting the largest displacement of any 150hp 4-stroke outboard engine on the market, the twin F150 rig underwent rigorous testing with Yamaha factory technicians to see how well they pushed the big 2700 Series Noosa Cat Hard Top.

"Our Noosa Cat managed a top speed of 77.5kph at 6100 rpm with the twin F150 outboards performing beautifully," said Tim.

"The 2700 Series hull is a very smooth performer and relished the power of twin Yamaha outboards on the back. The most economical cruising was measured at 38Km/h with the F150's achieving .93 Km/L with a fuel burn of 47L/h at 3500 rpm. That is excellent performance on a 1960kg twin hull power cat."

Inverloch Marine is a power cat specialist offering a broad range of twin hulled aluminium and fibreglass vessels for leisure, commercial or rescue/patrol applications. Powered exclusively by Yamaha outboards, there is sure to be a big cat to meet a whole range of boating needs.

Yamaha outboards are available through an Australia-wide network of authorised Yamaha outboard dealers.  All Yamaha 4-stroke outboards are supported with a full 4-year manufacturer's warranty and all 2-stroke outboards are backed by a 3 year warranty - standard conditions apply.
