Ao Po Marina hosts October Open Day
A number of luxury vessels, charter boats and selected brokerage boats will grace Ao Po Marina in Phuket over the weekend of 25th - 26th October to set in motion the inaugural Simpson Marine event with a view to highlighting the almost endless opportunities of the boating lifestyle in Asia.

Simpson Marine plans to showcase a selection of popular power and sailing vessels in the region to outline the various options available including pleasure craft from the reputable Azimut, Beneteau and Maxum range - in addition to brokerage and charter vessels.
Ao Po Marina, opened in late 2007 with an impressive 200 berths, will be the centre of attention over the October weekend for the first, annual open day event 1000-1600 hrs during which brokers will be on hand to answer any boating queries. 
According to Grant Saunders, Simpson Marine's Thailand Country Manager, the forthcoming event has already attracted the attention of many on the island looking forward to viewing the various vessels first hand. 'It will be more than a mini-boat show as there will also be brokerage and charter boats on show to allow for a 3-D perspective on the various boating options available. You don't need to fork out large amounts of money to enjoy boating in Asia; you can opt for a second-hand vessel, pitch in with a couple of friends, or even charter a yacht. Different options are possible which is exactly what we want to highlight over the Open Day weekend.'
The weekend event further outlines the growing interest and growth in the boating lifestyle in Asia, with various boating events such as the Phuket King's Cups Regatta, 29th November - 6th December and forthcoming Volvo Ocean Race / Singapore stop-over, drawing in people from around the region and world to Asia.
'The region is a boater's paradise as it offers cruising options almost all year round, and with the growing marine infrastructure and high-profile events in the region, it just seems to add to its charm.' adds Saunders.
In further support of the marine industry in Asia, Simpson Marine continues to actively promote in Europe its 'Visit Asia' charter campaign. Whilst on the regional front, the ten network offices, and reputable charter hubs in Phuket and Langkawi, have further established Simpson Marine's charter stronghold in the waters of the Far East.
