WAKSA announce a winter kitesurfing wave series...

Compete alongside all the top riders in West Oz or come watch the best wave riders in the State.

The winter wave series has been setup this year to make the most of the colder frontal weather and, hopefully, some serious wave action. To ensure we get a result, we've taken the unprecedented step of locking in the 3 weekends of:

June 26/27
July 3/4
July 10/11

The first weekend with appropriate wind forecasts will be the day/s the event will be held. AND it will be an early start - briefing around 9am.

The general location will be Brighton with a backup location at Leighton; We will announce specific locations closer to the event via seabreeze and a WAKSA email circular.

The competition will be a freeride format and competitors will be judged on their efforts over the two days. More detail on the judging criteria will be available on the website closer to the event.

All categories will be available: Open Mens & Womens, Masters, Grand Masters, Amateurs and Juniors. Registration is $10 per person and will take place on the day but an indication via email asap will assist organisers to cater for total attending

WAKSA invites all the die-hard wave riders out there to have a go at taking out the State Title Honours but we are also catering for all levels - hoping that the event will be fun for all-comers. Trophies will be awarded to outright winners but all competitors will have a chance to win their competition rashie or take home cash and/or prizes from a pool that will be up for grabs.
