The Value of nowhere, kiteboarding with no distractions.
Would you kite better, or worse? And would you be happy?
Cabrinha says you would be happy. Pete Cabrinha that is, in this short film by Cabrinha Kites called Value of Nowhere.
“We set out to explore what kind of value one can place on being far from the rigours of social obligation. We wanted to explore and perhaps challenge the value that is placed on being ever present, to find out the value of what is: “being nowhere”.
What would life be like on a catamaran with nothing but surfboards, a kite and a few mates?
Pete Cabrinha, Keahi De Aboitiz and Reo Stevens step aboard ‘Discovery’, a catamaran which is spending five years touring the globe in search of uncharted kiteboarding territory. Along the way, the team score some epic surfing conditions, a kitable left hander that needs to be seen to be believed, and endless lagoons full of crystal blue water.
Directed by Anders Kruger (who did all the other Cabrinha movies), written and narrated by Pete Cabrinha himself and featuring the aerial photography talents of Keahi De Aboitiz, the 20 minute long kiteboarding movie is a great watch.
