The Baltic sea crossing - another kitesurfing world record!

Almost there...
For the latest world record claim to fame, we've got Jan Lisewski from Poland. He's sailed for over 200 kilometres across the Baltic sea from the Polish port Swinoujscie to Ystad in Sweden. Of course, to get a record you've got to be the first - so before someone else did it - Jan pumped up a kite and off he went.
The trip took Jan just over 11 hours, and he had to face 6m seas and winds over 30 knots along the way. He told reporters: “Several times the waves took my kiteboard, but I managed to get it back”. He's been kiting for 9 years now, so he probably knows a thing or two about body dragging...
So - who's going to be next in the giant book of records? Maybe a trip to New Zealand is in order?
