Surf Expo shows off what's hot in 2014
It's the biggest expo of its kind in the world, so when you want to know who's got the best new gear for 2014, you head to the Surf Expo, Orlando Florida.
To be exact it's "The longest running and largest boardsports and beach/resort lifestyle tradeshow in the world." But you name them and they're present and accounted for. Best, Liquid Force, Slingshot, Cabrinha, Naish, North. We could go on forever, but believe us when we tell you, if a company makes something surf related. They're here. 2200 booths. 7000 storefronts. 20,000 people through the doors. Those are the kind of numbers we're talking about.
As you've probably got the message by now, Surf Expo in Orlando is massive and the time of year makes it perfect for all the kite companies 2014 releases.
Want to go? Sorry, unless you're from a shop, online store or can show them a business number, cheque book, "Federal Tax ID" and website to your shop, no entry. This ones for the vendors and pre-approved "buyers" only, which is kind of disappointing if you're a consumer.
Luckily, thanks to the boys from Kiteboarder Magazine, we get to live vicariously through their cameras and meet some of the biggest names in the business side of kiteboarding. Product designers give technical information, Brand managers explain their entire product lineups and famous team riders show off their promo footage and write on things.
