Recycling at its best - Make a skateboard from a kiteboard!
Without a doubt the coolest deck we've ever seen.
Do what this guy did and recycle it into something new! When Brunno Matarozzi from Aruba decided that his old Cabrinha Caliber wasn't doing it for him, he took to it with a router and a drill and make himself a new kiteboarding skateboard!
We're not saying that you should cut down your brand new twin tip for the sake of making a skatie, but it's a nice idea if you've got something old laying around, and it's better than throwing it in the bin. While kiteboarding itself is as eco friendly as you can possible get, kiteboards themselves are full of all kinds of nasties for the environment like the resins, fiberglass, carbon and the ABS or polyurethane rails.
The concept of being able to recycle old gear is getting thrown around a lot more now, just look at the new Penny Organic skateboards! They are built from biodegradable plastic and they actually tell you to bury it in the ground when you're done! Before long kiteboards are going to be cheap enough for the same concept to be viable, so watch this space for the first ever 'eco friendly' kiteboard.
In the meantime, get cutting! We want to see what you can come up with apart from a skateboard. Can you say... Twintip mailbox?
