Time has come to open our doors once again to recruit for the second half of this season. If you think you have what it takes, and want to be part of the biggest team in Brisbane, this is the time to get involved. You will become a better rider, make a lot of new friends, and most important of all, have a lot more fun riding with your fellow team mates. Surf Connect is the only IKO School in Brisbane and distributes many leading brands.  

You do not need to be an insane rider to become a Team Rider. Through our team riders' training program, you will learn and improve as you go along. Once on the team, you have access to all the gear we distribute at sponsored riders prices, free mags, free DVDs, free team clothing and lots more. On top you have the privileged status, and most important of all - membership to a great team! 

It will also open doors down the road when you become better and start winning comps. Get free gear, sponsorships and assistance to entry fees at comps, travel allowance and expenses, and ultimately onto financial reward packages. We also train suitable team riders to become Assistant Instructors/Instructors so to help you perhaps consider a career path to make money on what you enjoy doing, whether on a full time or part-time basis.

This time round 4 top riders will attain full sponsorship positions with Liquid Force via Surf Connect, and will be given totally free gear ? kites, boards and harnesses.

Other than tangible rewards, you will also be riding/training with other team riders which makes kiting a lot more fun let alone the assistance and support you'll get from your fellow team members. Downwinders, adventures, roadtrips, kiting at different locations with your team will further improve your riding ability as you share your own experiences and tricks with each other. It also eliminates safety issues as you will look out for each other.

On return, all you have to do is to put our sticker on your car if you got one, one on your board, wear our rashie when you sail/kite/compete, promote our company when and where possible. We are looking for positive ambassadors to represent our company and the brands we distribute, so we can benefit from your exposure and publicity, generating more business for us in the end through your sponsorship program.

If you are over 18, you can also apply to become a rep, where you can on sell our entire range and make some money on the side! How good is that? Able to do what you like and make money out of it?

To apply, you must be able to ride competently, for kiters, you must be able to perform at least 6 of the following maneuvers - transitions, transitions with kiteloops or jumps, ride toeside, do unhook raileys, S-bends, handle passes, boosts, back and front rolls. If you can do other tricks, it will gain you extra brownie points. For windsurfers, you must be able to sail, tack and gybe, and perform competently in your chosen discipline, be it wave, speed, freestyle, slalom or formula racing.

There is no age limitation for application. All welcome from 3 to 80!  We believe we have a unique and the most comprehensive Team Riders Program on offer in the Brisbane region.
