On the Road with Keahi - Kitesurfing in Bali

Keahi pulling in to some Bali goodness...
So if Keahi De Aboitiz isn't competing in the KSP world kitesurfing tour this week - where is he?

Well, truth be told - he got a better deal. Rather than fly all the way over to Mauritius, do battle with a heap of other kitesurfers for a couple of mediocre waves - all for no prize money... Keahi hopped on a plane to Bali for a bit of freeriding. It was cheaper, more fun - and it means we all get to see what he's up to!

With his Hawaiian mate Reo Stevens; the two have spent the last month trekking all over Bali. The exact locations they've been riding are top secret, (we want the locals getting upset!) but they're somewhere around the Tugu and Cangguand areas, as well a couple of the outer islands. When the conditions haven't turned on for kitesurfing, the boys have been surfing - paddling and stand up paddling into some world class waves. Best of all, it's just the two of them - no judges, no competitors and no stress...

Along with Reo, Keahi's been hanging out with his other mates Patrick Rebstock and Ryland Blakeney, who are all surely releasing their own footage of the past months riding. With all four riders pushing the boundaries of strapless kitesurfing - they're sure to be some pretty special movies.

Stay tuned for updates on when they're released - and check out the video below of Keahi and Reo - ripping it up in Bali.
