New Kitesurfing Video game to be released

Boost bars and cliff faces? Really?
Ubisoft announced this week that they'll be releasing the second installment of it's 'Action sports' series, "Motion Sports Adrenaline" for PS3 and Xbox 360. Again, they have included the sport of kitesurfing, bunching it in with the like minded extreme sports of Base jumping, mountain biking, kayaking, skiing and best of all, extreme trampling.

It does make you wonder if players will choose kitesurfing over the other sports on offer - but it also raised the question of how users will actually control the various elements of a kitesurfing kite. Will this be the first video game to capture kitesurfing for real? Or Just another glorified sporting button basher?

Here's what Ubisoft had to say about the kitesurfing element of the game: "Try one of the most thrilling sea sports! Ride massive waves and use the wind to do crazy tricks: hold on tight and carve and trick your way through beautiful but treacherous coastal courses. You’ll need to jump, duck, lean, balance, and strike trick poses to succeed."

Sounds exciting - but really, nothing you can do in your lounge room could really compare to actually kitesurfing... Could it? Check out the game trailer.
