Melbourne's Katie Potter joins the Naish Team
This week Naish kiteboarding announced that Melbourne's very own Katie Potter is joining their international team! In recognition of her incredible talent in Freestyle Kiteboarding, and her all round nice-girl attitude, Katie is finally getting some credit in the kiteboarding world! Spending her summers riding in Melbourne, alongside good mate Ewan Jaspan and the Kite Republic team, Katie is still at uni, although took a break this year to hit the Hood River, Hatteras and Maui to ride with Naish legends, the Richman brothers. Competing in 'The Slider Project' on the Hood River, Katie gained the exposure she needed to grab the attention of her current domestic sponsors, Naish, who signed her up to the International team this week, cementing her plans to dominate freestyle and wakestyle events all over the world in 2016. "I've loved every moment on the Naish team, riding great gear with so many good times on and off the water." Said Katie on social media this week, "This opportunity has been a long time in the making and I am so grateful to celebrate awesome milestones like this. Cheers to the next years ahead!" To show off what she can do, Naish released a timely video of Katie, Ewan, Shaun and Jesse in the Hood River during their trip called 'In a Moment of Mayhem'. One of the best releases of the season, it's an exceptional show of what modern freestyle kiteboarding looks like, with passes, loops, boosts and lots and lots of backrolls. Check it out below, and watch out for the name Katie Potter riding up the rankings with her well earned support from Naish International.
