A group of young kitesurfers travelled to one of the heaviest waves in Australia. This secret spot features the perfect wind direction, but heavy waves that break close to the rocks, and only a narrow escape between two reefs. 

What started out as an epic ride, quicky turned sour when one rider dislocated his shoulder - while the rescue jetski picked him up, other riders got in trouble. Kites were getting released, riders were floating around in the water on their own, and then to top it all off - the ski got smashed into the rocks.

The risks associated with wind and waves like these are massive, with a real threat of injury or death present at all times. These guys are professional kitesurfers who went into battle with the ocean. Turns out they lost pretty badly - but luckily they were all ok, the jetski's got lots of cracks and a caved in nose but it's repairable, albeit after a hefty bill!
