Massive kiteboarding jumps with Ewan Jaspan

Ewan Jaspan boosting big in Kurnell, Sydney

With all this wind the southern states have been getting, we were wondering if Ewan Jaspan had been getting any action. The once promising kid, now turned kiteboarding professional got out there with a tiny little Naish kite, some boots and a great sandbar upwind to put on a real show for us - all captured by head cam.

Ewan Jaspan has just finished a 3 week road trip down the east coast with his mate Will Smallacombe, during which they scored some incredible conditions. With summer kicking in early there were plenty of seabreezes for freestyle action, and a few nasty squalls that turned the wind up to over 30 knots and allowed Ewan to get his mega-loop on. Pictured here at Kurnell, Ewans on a 9m kite despite the insane wind strength, proving that he’s not a little kid anymore, Ewan can hold down some serious power!

Not talking himself up at all, the caption to the video below is:
“A few big squalls came through today.”

We’d like to know what kind of wind would make Ewan froth at the mouth… If he’s this calm at almost 40kts. Would he handle 60?
