Kitesurfing Teahupoo and the weirdest aircraft ever.
Living the dream... Ah to be a sponsored rider! One Skype call and you're off to Tahiti, to go kitesurfing at the legendary break Teahupoo.
Jeremie Eloy is the man in question, and according to his website - he's a professional kiteboarder. The story goes, he got a Skype call, jumped on plane and ended up here, in Tahiti to surf Teahupoo with a decent sized swell. It's not the biggest day ever, but it's windy enough to kitesurf and as always, the waves have consequence as they break over the shallow reef. Teahupoo isn't a wave for the faint hearted, but it's usually quite crowded. On this day it isn't though, just Jeremie, a few camera boats and some on-lookers.
The video - Make my Day Ep 3. - also has a heap of great lifestyle footage thrown in there, including kitesurfing with very large stingrays, crazy local men dancing on a beach and a hilarious moment where a boat literally goes flying off into the sunset with a hang glider rig strapped to the top. Only in Tahiti....
