Kitesurfing Groms ripping it up all over Australia.
Australia seems to be exploding with local talent this year, young riders are going hard, filming their efforts and posting them on Seabreeze for all to see. It's decent footage too, stitched together by either themselves or professional editors - these movies are slick, and impressing viewers world wide! Here's a few of the latest video's posted on Seabreeze this month, and a little about the riders.
Ewan Jaspan - from Melbourne, Victoria - but has been travelling all over Australia this year to compete. The 17 year old pocket rocket is one of our stand-out riders this year, competing in the PKRA on the Gold coast as well as pretty much every other comp in Australia. He's our pick for the podium at the National titles this year in Alva. Watch him closely - he rides for Naish kites, supplied through Kite Republic, and is doing them proud with the top quality videos he's produced so far.
Lucas Hearn - from the Sunshine Coast. Lucas is 15 and rides as hard as the big boys, with the perfect freestyle locations at Maroochydore and Noosa, you can see why he's so good at such a young age. Not only does he kick butt in the flat water, he's not to shabby in waves! You can catch him after school on a North Vegas, supplied by Adventure Sports Noosa. Keep an eye on this all round rider in the next few years, he's hot on the heels of the pros.
Jacob Goodwin - from Brisbane, QLD. Jacob has been pushing the park style scene hard with great results and a fluid style not seen anywhere else. If it's too windy for booties and solid stuff - he's also crazy for kiteloops. He goes massive no matter how hard it's blowing, usually ending in a gigantic impact - followed by a fist in the air as he somehow rides away. Stay tuned for Jacob's performance this year at the Nationals, especially on in the Rail Jam - look for the Ozone C4's, supplied by Kitepower QLD. Check out this video of his road trip to Mambo last year (he was on Slingshot back then).
