Kitesurf cross of Torres straightsraised over $35k so far...

Raising almost 50k already, they're well on the way!
With only a few days left before the crew head north from QLD to Papua New Guinea, there’s been a new addition to the Torres Crossing group! Jen from Zephyr Kite tours has jumped at the chance to join the trip after someone dropped out, completing the 16 kiter cohort to make the trip.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, the Torres Crossing is an amazing fundraising effort dreamed up by a few local kitesurfers to raise money for the McGrath foundation in their quest to find a cure and support victims of Breat Cancer. The boobie themed trip has raised over $535,000 already and that’s before they’ve even left! The target is $100,000, and after their last fundraiser’s success it looks like they’ll get pretty close to it, a fantastic contribution from the kiteboarding community towards a great charity.     (All the crew are paying all expenses out of their own pocket, and 100% of the money goes to the charity)

The trip sets off on the 12th of July from far north QLD. 16 kiteboarders will then kite north for several days, stopping along the way at inhabited islands to hang out with the locals, share the stoke of flying a kite and also to drum up a little more dollars for the cause.

Keep up to date with their progress here on their facebook page, or stay tuned for updates here as they make their journey. Good luck guys!
