Kitestock kicks off today, despite the forecasts

Dongara beach last year, Kitestock 2010
Mention Kitestock to any kitesurfer, and we immediately think of strong winds, sand (LOTS of sand) and a beach stacked to its limit with the latest and greatest kitesurfing equipment. It's on every kiters 'to-do list' and for many, Kitestock is an annual getaway that's non negotiable, no matter what the wife bribes you with!
Most of the participants spent today (Friday) driving the 300kms north (or more) from Perth, cars packed to the roof with kitesurfing equipment, sunscreen and beer, ready for whatever the weekend has in store. This year the forecast looks a pretty nasty, with light SE'erly winds and storms predicted, not that anyone minds, Kitestock is awesome, kitesurfing or not!
Dongara is THE place to be this weekend, it's too late to get there now - so mark it in your calendar for next year!
Check back on Tuesday for all the gossip, industry news and shenanigans from Kitestock 2011.
