KB4Girls Coaching Clinics at Alva
After the two successful KB4girls competition coaching clinics accompanying the Australian National Championships in February 2010, as well as the first ever Kiteboarding World Cup at the Gold Coast
in Australia in December 2010, female kiteboarding in Australia has excelled.
Kristin Boese, founder of KB4girls and 9x Kiteboarding World Champion says: “It is really amazing to see how much motivation and confidence some of our participants from our coaching clinics from a year ago have gained and how excited everyone is to compete in the National Championships in Alva this year. I am expecting the biggest female competitors field in Australia yet and a very tight competition. I am very excited to coach the girls through the competition again.”
Alva Beach, approximately 80 km southeast of Townsville will not only be home to the 2011 Australian National Championships from the 22nd to the 25th of April but will also hold the KB4girls PRO event from the 19th to the 22nd of April that will be the last rehearsal and guidance for the girls' big show.
Marvin Baumeister, organizer of the National Championships states:“The KB4 girls camp will be a great opportunity for the female competitors to get advice for their routines and learn some awesome new tricks. All of the best up and coming female riders will have the chance to meet, ride and push each other to become better. In a sport largely dominated by males, these camps are a great way to support female development in the sport and get some exposure for our kite girls. Alva is the perfect spot for progressing your riding ability, especially in freestyle and wake style. KB4girls will be a fun and motivating lead up to the main event for the girls.”
The opportunity to join the KB4girls PRO event is open to every kiteboarding girl and does not presume the
participation in the National Championships. However, the main focus will lie on competition coaching and Kristin will also guide the KB4girls participants through the national championships. Registration is open until April 1st, 2011 and spots are filling up quickly. So save YOUR spot today by signing up on
