Kiteboarders from all over the world look forward to the Triple S comp in Cape Hatteras every year - some love it for the gear, some love it for the pro's - and some just love drinking beer in the American sunset. 

Each year around June - we begin to see glimpses of brand new equipment, tucked away under the arms of the pros. Most of these pics are taken at the Triple S Invitational - because the big kitesurfing companies give the new goodies to the pro's, who in turn flash the top secret goods in front of the worlds media for all to see. Don't believe me? Just wait 'till you see that 2012 model Cabrinha board Dre will be riding this year.

Other’s don’t care about the equipment, the Triple S is all about the riding. Professional riders from all over the world come to the Real watersports complex in Cape Hatteras, USA to strut their stuff on the flat water and obstacles – Real watersports put on a great show with no expenses spared either. Celebrities like Andre Phillips, Aaron Hadlow and Ruben Lenten all attend the comp every year - they attend the parties too, but that’s a whole other story. 

What makes the Triple S so special – it that it’s the Triple S Invitational… Not any old chump gets to enter the event… Noooooooo, you must first be selected by a panel of esteemed judges! If these judges deem you worthy – you’re in. If not – you must submit a wildcard video full of your steezy tricks, so that they can re-assess your skills.  It’s these wildcard entries that get us excited every year – because the quality gets turned up a notch, and we get to see some world class videos – all for free!
