Hannah Whiteley kitesurfing on Coche Island, Venezuela
It's called lost on an island, but Hannah Whitely doesn't seem too lost in this video clip!
Coche Island, Venezuela is one of the most perfect places imaginable to go kitesurfing. The reliable trade winds and butter flat water make it a freestylers oasis, and the learning curve of the riders here is simply staggering. It's no wonder Hannah Whitely is progressing into one-handed moves and nailing her handle passes.
Alongside the 'british kiteboarding queen', was friend Nicky Rudd. The pair flew over for the winter season, and she wrote a great little blog article earlier in the week about the trip.
"We had to get three long flights to Venezuela. When we arrived in Margarita we had to take a ferry to the island Coche it was a cool little boat ride over. When we arrived in Coche I knew we where in the right place. The kiting conditions where amazing! We where staying right on the beach front at Hotel Coche Paradise, just two minutes away from the spot. It was a great location. The wind would kick in at about 10am so would get a morning and afternoon session in each day. I felt on really good form and my riding really progressed, it was great fun training with Nicky and and my other friends I met in Venezuela."
