GoPro - a different perspective
Pro Kitesurfer Ryland Blakeney is a long time user of GoPro's, and a hard charger in any size waves.
He reports:
"We've all seen videos of go pros stuck in guys kites, stuck on the nose of boards and mounted on lines! they are generally used for people wanting to take video of themselves but you usually have to sift through 2 hours of footage when you get home just to find a few good waves in there amongst all the other crap!
However i think the best use for go pro is the photos and video be it swimming in the water or chasing friends on your kite and filming and videoing them! you have to be close but! due to the super wide fisheye lens you need to ride close to a rider or if your swimming be right there in the action to get the best effect!
Heres one example of showing a session from a different perspective and makes you feel like you are right there. this whole clip is shot on a go pro hero 2 HD that i got through the seabreeze shop! these little beauties shoot insane footage and are great bang for their buck! get some mates together, get yourself a camera and play around with some different angles!!!!!"
