After his well publicized departure from long time sponsors, Cabrinha. Andre Phillip has since been hanging out with the crew from Slingshot kiteboarding, and of course the Tona brand, of which is he a part owner of.

But have you wondered where he’s been, or what he’s up to? Finally we get to see what’s happening with one of the longest running professional kiteboarders in Slingshot latest movie, Dark Skies, Bright Hearts.

The movie is all about the new Slingshot RPM actually, and has nothing to do with Dre in particular. It showcases the whole Slingshot Wakestyle team and how they work, rest and play together in a place like Ecuador on the western side of South America. With unreliable forecasts, great conditions and a van full of fancy new Slingshot gear, the guys get down to business.

Patrick Wieland is the guy in charge of creativity in this one, we havn’t seen too much from him in the way of big kite movies, yet. A great mix of lifestyle shots, good music and perfectly executed capture of some amazing riding makes this video a pleasure to watch.

If only they were all as good as this! Anyway, it’s good to see Slingshot is back on the media bandwagon, Dre is a live and kicking and the rest of the Slingshot crew having fun doing what they do best. Wearing oversize tee-shirts and penguin hopping their boards to the water… Oh and throwing done some of the most technical wake style you'll every see.
