Could this be the best amateur kitesurfing movie of 2012?
Nerk himself - master of GoPro footage
Nerk, also known as Ian Huish, is a master of innovation. We've seen him make old surfboards into works of art, strap GoPro's to all kinds of things and some say he could make a time lapse panning rig out of lego, fishing line and an egg timer. He's also progressed from publishing the usual jumpy, grainy GoPro footage we're used to seeing - to making the video below, which is worthy of being shown at the classiest of cinemas.
The inspiration behind this short film was the amazing country we live in, and the incredible water sports we all enjoy. As famously quoted by Nerk himself, "This video contains images of twintips in surf, strapped, unstrapped, boardshorts, SUPs, surfboards, sailboards, dogs and cats living together. Sensitive kiters should look away! It just goes to show that deep down, we're all in the sport for the same reasons, but unfortunately those reasons are hard to justify to the general public.
So if you've never experienced the rush of being dragged around by a kite, propelled down the face of a wave or getting worked by a mountain of white water - this might help inspire you to give it a try...
