8th-12th April 09.
Boyne Island/Tannum Sands, Central Queensland

Nominations for the National Titles are open!

Just reminding everyone to contact their state body (or the AKSA if this is not applicable) by January 10th to apply to compete. If you were the top riders in a state that had national titles last year, you will automatically be selected.

Once the top riders are selected, you will be informed by the state body, and also listed on the Coconet Classic website under "Kitesurfing" competitions. Visit: www.coconetclassic.net.au

You will then be able to register and pay online.

Here's a snippet from the AKSA: "As a member interested in competing at the national level, you should nominate yourself to your state or AKSA if you are not in a state association. The qualifications committees will be choosing from a number of interested riders and will need to know how competitive you are compared to others. Anything you can say or show to indicate your ability level will help the committees in their decisions. Important information in order of importance includes your contact email, phone, and address; recent competition results, references from respected and well known identities in the sport (other top riders, judges, photographers, store owners or sport officials, description of moves you can claim (please don't exaggerate), and videos, or the like. These should be forwarded to your State Association or AKSA for analysis.

Once allocations are finalised, the states will nominate approximately 5-10 riders in each of the 4 standard divisions, (Mens Open, Womens Open, Mens Juniors (under 18) , Mens Masters (over 35). Nominations close January 10th and riders will be contacted shortly afterwards."
