Chicks kiting get together in Safety Bay (WA)
This in from the WA Chick Kiters Club!
It's time for us girls to catch up again for an afternoon of kiting, as well as enjoying the beach and each other's company.
This time we are gathering from 2pm in the sheltered waters behind Penguin Island at Shoalwater Bay in Rockingham.

We will be setting up on the beach just to the north of Pengo's Cafe and the jetty (south end of the carpark), look out for the Waksa banners.
This is again a casual social kiting event for those of us of the fairer sex to get together (wind willing) on and off the water, for all levels of kiters- we all know how hard it was starting out, but also how inspiring it is to see another girl doing those tricks we only dream of doing!
There will be a BBQ up and running for you to use, and KiteShelter MarkII will hopefully up to the task of the predicted 20 knot southerly breeze. BYO food, drinks, beach and kiting gear.
You are welcome to also BYO partners and dependants who want to support you in your kiteboarding passion .
From 2 till 3pm we will have the opportunity of tapping into the font of knowledge and experience of Ben, an instructor with West Oz Kiteboarding (the School operates from the north end of the Penguin Island carpark), so whether you want to know how on earth you can keep upwind to avoid the continual walk of shame, or what to do to nail your first F16, this is the time to all find out all those clever tips and tricks.
West Oz Kiteboarding will also have a range of kites available for the girls to demo, and a range of other gear to have a look at.
Angostura Bitters is coming to the party and will be providing a refreshing product sample for the girls (remember Kitestock 08, yum), and Paul Burton Photography will be visiting to take some water action shots during the afternoon.
Looking forward to seeing you all there,
Nic, Nina and Joy.
