Best Demo Day Report - Pt Moore, WA
Sunday dawned with perfect conditions brewing for for a 20-25 knots seabreeze. What more could you ask for on a demo day! (See QLD'ers, this is how it's done!) In the late arvo it even reached 30knots for some boosting action.
All day kites were being swapped, launched, landed and of course ridden hard by everyone from professionals to beginners. The favorite kite of the day was definitely the 8m Best TS thanks to it's exceptional abilities in every discipline. The 7 and 9m Best Cabo's also spent a lot of time in the air, apparently a favourite with the older guys who loved it the waves. A couple of riders tried the Best GP, but were a little intimidated by the 5th line which these days is a bit weird for most riders. (ah, we remember the days where every kite was a five liner!)
Local Best team rider, Brayden Bunter had a bit of fun doing some boosts when the wind picked up towards sunset. Local kite instructor Ben had a bit of fun out the back in in the monster waves, unfortunately for him requiring a self rescue! Lucky he's an instructor and got to show of his skills!
Jeniffer Car and Dan Olivieri were there, saying:
"Could not ask for a better opening start to the season , wind, waves, friends. Tunes and barbecue on the beach." "Great day guys, really well organised - had a blast"
Sounds like a great day was had by all! Check out the video below to see some of the action.
