Yacht clubs are the heart-beat of sailing, no matter what kind of sailor you are. So it's always good to see their existence celebrated. The Whitsunday Sailing Club will have its 40th birthday this weekend Airlie Beach with a festival of events on the water. Kicking off tomorrow from 7pm there will be live music and great entertainment at the sailing club while Saturday the formal celebration will take place for members and visitors are invited to social drinks from 3pm.
