The 40th anniversary edition of the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship was officially declared open at a lively and colourful but unseasonably wet and windy Istanbul last night. The world's top youth sailors celebrated the start of the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship with an Opening Ceremony in Istanbul, Turkey. The sailors, coaches, family members and event staff all packed into the ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel due to the adverse weather, which plagued the training day.
