Velux 5 Oceans fleet will leave Wellington on Sunday February 6th for the start of Ocean Sprint 3. This leg will take the competitors into the Southern Ocean and around Cape Horn, arriving at Punta Del Este in Uruguay after 5,800 nautical miles at sea. The Velux 5 Oceans is a solo, round-the-world yacht race which started in La Rochelle, France on October 17th. Considered The Ultimate Solo Challenge, the race covers five gruelling ocean sprints over nine months.
