Velux 5 Oceans update from Wellington, new Zealand. They might be fierce competitors on the water but the Velux 5 Oceans skippers also enjoyed some friendly rivalry on land today to mark the opening of the official race harbour in Wellington. The four solo sailors took a break from preparing their Eco 60 ocean racing yachts for the gruelling next sprint of the Velux 5 Oceans to race in landyachts known as 'blokarts'. Hundreds of people gathered at Queens Wharf in central Wellington to watch the blokart racing, straight after the grand opening of the Velux 5 Oceans race harbour ...
