Third Ocean Racer Arrives at the Home of the Velux 5 Oceans

Polish ocean racer Zbigniew Gutkowski this morning arrived in La Rochelle ahead of the start of the VELUX 5 OCEANS. As the sun rose over the historic French port early this morning Gutkowski, known as 'Gutek', sailed in after completing a qualification passage. Gutek was greeted on the dock in the Bassin des Chalutiers by the VELUX 5 OCEANS race management team. In a show of camaraderie, fellow ocean racer Derek Hatfield, who arrived in La Rochelle on Sunday, also joined the welcoming party despite the early hour.
