The Yachtsmen's Spring Thaw Luncheon announces its annual luncheon in support of Toronto Brigantine Inc. to be held on Friday, April 23th.

The 27th annual luncheon in support of Toronto Brigantine will on held Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Boulevard Club, 1491 Lakeshore Boulevard West, Toronto. A feature of the luncheon is the presentations of the following awards:

-Hans Fogh as the Yachtsman of the Year - Sail Trophy
-Find Christiansen as The Yachtsman of the Year - Power Trophy
-Geoff Hadrill for the Yachtsmen's Spring Thaw Environment Award

This year's speaker is Eugene Tekatch, a well-known local builder of catamarans, who will be discussing "Catamarans and the America's Cup".

All the proceeds of the luncheon and associated raffle go to the Toronto Brigantine, a not for profit charitable organization that delivers sail training programs for teenagers aged 13 -18 years, aboard two tall ships (brigantines), STV Pathfinder and TS Playfair.
