'One of John Bell’s imaginative works which revolve around sailing and the sea' .
If you love sailing and the sea and are anywhere near Hobart next weekend, it would be worth paying a visit to the Meadowbank Estate Winery Gallery.

Since Suzan and Michael Bell, on their 52ft custom sailing boat MaaMalni, left the port of Seattle in 2007, artist Michael has been painting their adventures.

Many of the paintings are of Australia and of her magnificent sights. Michael has been asked to exhibit his work at the beautiful Meadowbank Estate Gallery.

The show will run a month, 6 November to 9 December, and officially opens with a 'Meet the Artist' on Saturday morning, 7 November with an audio-visual presentation of 'What's it Really Like Out There' at 11AM.

Michael explains: 'This adventure has become a very productive and seductive time for me as I've been able to expand my creativity into my impressionistic interpretations of lands and events seen along the route of our Pacific Ocean and Southern Ocean voyage.

'As such, I have been able to capture light, color, impressions with an essence of energy in much of the work I am producing. My voyage is not over as there are more lands oceans to yet conquest and images yet to be discovered and interpreted.

The winery and gallery are situated at
699 Richmond Road,
Cambridge,
Hobart.

If you cannot visit the gallery but would like to see the artwork, it can be viewed on Michael's website www.ArtByBell.com .
